Filming

So for the last few weeks I have been doing a lot of filming projects. Working towards producing a feature length movie at the end of the year or the begging of 2012.

Last week I was in berlin filming some product stuff for an up and coming company called GYBE. As there was no wind, I didn’t get to go further north in Germany to test some of the new 2013 kites. Hopefully I will be doing some more testing soon however…

Keep your eyes peeled for the release of the new Kitelauncher video and also the DVD update from here in Fuerteventura!

cheers T

So after a great week in Munich and a good meeting with the North crew, i am back in the UK. I got a chance to hit the cable a few times before I left too which was fun…

So coming up in the next week for me is the Animal Windfest at the weekend, down in Poole sandbanks. I will be there along with all the other Animal pro team riders and hopefully we will get some wind to do some racing and freestyle demos! Check it out at:http://www.animalwindfest.co.uk/ and don’t forget to book your party tickets!

After that, on the Sunday, I am flying directly to Bali, Indonesia to catch the best swell of the season…Pictures and story of that trip to come!

Chilling in Munich

So, its been a while since my last post but i has been a hektic time. After filming out in Fuerte for the best part of a month, I then went back to the UK to have some down time at home. However, far from that as since then I have been traveling around the UK hitting up different events (mostly festivals actually)…such as the V-fest in Chelmsford with some friends, awesome event!

After that I drove down to the south coast to hit Sir Richard Bransons channel crossing, from he UK to France in honor of his 60th birthday. However, a few different factors meant that I couldn’t do that and had to cancel at the last second, much to my disappointment!

Right now I am out in Munich to have a string of meetings with my Kite Sponsor, North Kites. Fingers crossed it should be a good week, i am also hoping to hit up some Cable parks around the City and maybe surf the River waves!

Here is my latest profile video, thanks to North Kites:http://www.northkites.com/public/content/pics__tv/tv/team/rider_profile___tom_court/index_ger.html

Well after a long week at the Oktoberfest in Munich in the beer tents it was nice to get some time to hit the Cable park there. I went with Susi and my friend Dan flew out from the UK, it was a good laff, we also hit some good skate spots around the city. Looking forward now to getting back to the coast and some kiting, although i am going to hit the famous Munich river wave tomorrow for a bit of surfing!

So, last week was super hectic, organizing the slider jam at White Air in Brighton along with Chris Burke. We had Ruben Lenten flying in for it along with Davey Blair from Hawaii and it was an awesome festival. Unfortunately there was no wind, so we held a contest hitting the Kiteworld feature behind Jet skis…In the end I got 2nd to Sam Light. Two podiums in as many weeks!

After that had finished i made my way to Munich to hit the Oktoberfest for a few big Germany beers. Great to see some friends there that i hadn’t seen in ages!

So after an awesome weekend down on Poole Sandbanks at the Animal Windfest i came back with a good result. After almost five years without wind, the Windfest finaly got some, although light, it was enough to hold a good race series and a freestyle contest. As well as the wind the party’s went off with a Turbo Neon Fluro night on the Saturday that was awesome, with some great bands playing. check out the Animal Windfest website: www.animalwindfest.co.uk

So, iv been back in the UK now for about three weeks and it has been busy! After a heavy weekend last week up in Blackpool to see everyone at the BKSA event, i have been down to Poole, Sandbanks to film with the BBC for a ‘sports round’ special about the up and coming Animal Windfest event that is running from the 11th-13th September. Should be a funny video, so dont forget to watch on Friday (11th) morning BBC1.
Also Chris Burke and me have been planning things for the WhiteAir event that is hosted down on Brighton seafront on the weekend starting the 18th. Sponsored by Kiteworld mag, it should be a good event! check it out:http://www.kiteworldmag.com/news/tom-court-confirmed-for-kiteworldwhite-air-slider-jam/

After finishing the PKRA world cup in Brazil and getting a bad result, coming way outside the top 10, i have returned to the Kite Mansion in Brazil to keep training for the Last leg of the PKRA world tour in Chile.

I have three days to train now before i fly to the last stop on the freestyle and wave world tour. Hopefully i can get a top 5 result to secure my place within the worlds top ten, but its going to be a difficult one!

here is a new video from the kite spot on Brazil that i have been training at. One of the most undiscovered places to train in Brazil, empy beaches and wind every day! check: www.youtube.com/ripslix for my latest travel videos!

This event hasnt gone so well for me, i have been in the top 10 all year in the rankings, but at this event i got a 17th, which sucks! pushing my ranking down to 12th overall…fingers x’d for the last result in chile to bring me back on top!

I have just finished my final leg of the PKRA world kiteboarding tour in Brazil. Gaining a 9th place overall after a few close heats in the double eliminations, finally being knocked out by Ruben Lenten. It was an awesome spot, with strong wind every day, riding mostly 9 and 7m kites with small waves!

i have now traveled down the coast to the kite town of cumbuco, im staying here for a few weeks until my next comp, starting on the 2nd oct…hopefully i can gain a good result on that too!
